MB-bis, F.E.Mosca, Bystritskij

Two 24k b/w photo from "History of aircraft construction in the USSR" by V.B.Shavrov, Vol.1 p.173
maller version of MB with more powerful engine, armed with single machinegun. Wings were folding, same way as on the predecessor. Fighter performed well, despite it was not equipped with synchronizer. On some MB-bis it was installed to fire above propeller arc (see picture), on other - propeller blades were protected by 'bullet-reflectors'.
Success of MB-bis helped F.E.Mosca to obtain 50k rubles subsidy. Aircraft was in production for more than two years (50 built until 1918 and some - later).
