S uch things were built all over the world. Designers were mislead by idea that the more wings
aircraft has, the better it will fly. This aircraft was built in Gatchina near St.Petersburg in
1909. It had three triplane boxes, four elevator surfaces and two tailfins,
plus surfaces serving as ailerons.
Complicity of construction resulted in insufficient mechanical stability, and aircraft started to lose parts on the very first
taxi trial. It was repaired and modified several times, but never took of the ground.
