Anatra DS, Anasal, Anatra D No.14, Anatra DSS, A.A.Anatra/Dekan

A
lmost identical to Anatra D. Most changes - in powerplant. Radiators were installed on the sides of fuselage or under the nose section. Fuselage covered with plywood. Armament included Vickers machinegun firing through propeller (with synchronizator by Dekan) and observer's machinegun with simple and convenient installation.
Engineer Grigorashvili designed special propeller for this aircraft, allowing to increase the speed by 7km/h. 'Anasal' was stable, responsive aircraft with easy landing and takeoff. By its flying characteristics it was similar to 'Farman-30' and German 'Albatros's with 150-160hp engines.
Flown first on July 25, 1916, 'Anasal' entered mass production in 1917.
60-70 built, in service during 1917-1917.
In February 1917 few Anatra DSS with more powerful engine and some design changes were built. Those were slightly faster.
