VIT-1, SVB, MPI-1 by N.N.Polikarpov

T
hree-seat all metal multi-purpose aircraft (see VIT, SVB, MPI), planned as tank buster, dive bomber, reconnaissater, close range high speed bomber and heavy fighter.
Tailwheel was fixed, main landing gear - retractable backwards behind the engines.
Seven armament options were proposed, with major emphasis on tank destruction. 20mm cannon in nose was movable (100).
After flight tests (Summer 1937) decision was made to install more powerful engines and make some design refinement. New aircraft was designated VIT-2.
