VYa 23mm cannon

First installed in 1941 on the Il-2 single-seater Shturmovik, and proved itself much more powerful than ShVAK the predecessor. From 400m its shell could penetrate 25mm armour. Was pretty good against aircraft too - due to superior hit range and explosive shell.
